Scratch Events
In 2006 we provided artists with a forum to test out their ideas at Scratch events, and present ideas at Pitch events, which were held every few months at our venues.
We ran four events and saw many artists. We worked with some to progress their ideas along.
Scratch events gave emerging and established artists the opportunity to present and share ideas in front of an audience interested in new work as well as meet other like-minded people interested in making new theatre.
We provided participants with feedback, offered developmental support to some - when we saw potential in an idea in relation to our venues. We continued to work with a number of artists from the first phase into the second.
Scratch events were particularly good in finding emerging artists keen to make work.
